Short+Sweet Dubai is Dubai’s biggest and best short play festival and brings together Dubai’s top theatre groups – Aish Outt Productions, Backstage, Danu, Dubai Drama Group, Natakwale, Orb Theatricals, Theatrewallas, Theatrics and Third Half Theatre. In addition many local schools and universities participate in the festival including The American School of Dubai, The American University of Dubai, Heriot-Watt University, Wollongong University, Emirates Aviation College and Maplewood International School. Held annually every January to March since 2012 the festival includes something for everyone – comedy, drama, romance and thrillers – and all in just 10 minutes. Plays presented in the festival include the best 10-minute plays from around the world as well as scripts by some of Dubai’s top playwrights, brought to life by Dubai’s top actors, directors and theatre companies.
